In 2003, wingsuit pioneer Loic Jean-Albert created the “Soul Flyers” team. A team of air sports enthusiasts would join this group that would go on to write history. Stéphane Zunino, the designer, Claude Remid, the BASE jump pioneer, and Valery Montant, an outstanding paraglider, would travel the world to bring back the most beautiful images. An extraordinary adventure and, above all, “a serious spirit without taking itself seriously.”

In 2010, the “Soul Flyers 2” team was born with Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet, 3-time world champions and true Free Fly icons, ready to honor this heritage in a duo that would shake up the codes.
More than 6000 jumps together, this unparalleled team revolutionized modern skydiving during more than 20 years.

2020 marked the end of an era with the tragic death of Vince Reffet. Determined to keep the spirit of this legendary figure alive, the decision was made to continue the adventure, and the 3rd generation Soul Flyers team was born. Fred Fugen was joined by Vincent Cotte know as “Veush” and Aurélien Chatard known as “Bras noir”. All three Freeflyers, base jumpers and legendary wingsuiters, this new team is a concentration of talent and experience.

Because being a Soul Flyer is all about sharing. The spirit of the team continues to transcend time… and clouds.

2017

Historical background. After a BASE jump from the summit of the Jungfrau in the Swiss Alps, Vince and Fred enter – through the “open” door – the interior of a Pilatus Porter in full flight.

2016

Fred officially becomes the 3rd Jetman pilot and student of Yves ‘Jetman’ Rossy. That year, the three men (Yves, Vince and Fred) fly with the eight Alpha Jets of the Patrouille de France.

2014

Freefly record at high altitude (10,000 metres) and Swooping over Mont-Blanc, Europe’s highest mountain.

The Soul Flyers also set a Guinness World Record with a BASE jump from the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

2012

Soul Flyers become Red Bull athletes.

2010-2011

The Soul Flyers redefine the limits of BASE jumping by performing tricks never before seen from a cliff: they invent the FreeFly BASE.
